The generosity of the Fellows provides learning experiences for more than one million children and families in our community each year. Annual Fellows support allows more than 250,000 school children to visit the Museum for free and helps 15 scientific departments to conduct important research on biodiversity around the globe. In return, Fellows enjoy fantastic benefits all year long, including exclusive behind-the-scenes access to the Museum's collection. Join, renew, or upgrade
In July 2011, the Museum held its biennial Dinosaur Ball celebrating the opening of the new Dinosaur Hall. This black-tie fundraising gala raised a record $1.4 million for the Museum and its programs. In addition to their annual contribution, the Fellows gave generously at this year’s event. Guests enjoyed a gourmet dinner, a silent action with NHM-themed items, including the chance to name a species of dinosaur, and marveled at the awesome dinosaur installations at the unveiling of the new Dinosaur Hall. Afterwards, guests danced the night away to the sounds of a live bluegrass band atop the Museum’s new Car Park. Click here to see photos from the Dinosaur Ball.
