Adventures in Nature Girls Camp: Becoming a Scientist!

This winter, the Natural History Museum invites girls to get outdoors, explore nature, and be empowered to make their own scientific discoveries with Adventures in Nature: Becoming A Scientist! Join us for this four-day camp celebrating our newest exhibition, Becoming Jane: The Evolution of Jane Goodall.  Girls will get inspired as they learn about Jane’s adventures with the Gombe Stream chimpanzees, hear about some of the amazing women scientists who work at the Museum, and have fun with interactive activities in the Museum’s Nature Gardens. Come explore with us!

Who: Girls in grades K–5
Where: In person at the Natural History Museum!
When: Tuesday, January 4th–Friday, January 7th, 2022,  9:00 am–3:00 pm

We are committed to the health and safety of all our campers and staff. Adventures in Nature Day Camp will return to it’s in-person format, with the following precautions:

  • Campers and staff are required to wear a mask covering their nose and mouth at all times. Caregivers are also required to wear a mask during drop off and pick up. Campers and staff will complete a daily health screening, prior to starting their day at camp.
  • Camp programming will allow campers to maintain a safe distance from staff and other campers at all times. Outdoor learning spaces will be used when possible.
  • Increased cleaning and sanitizing of camp spaces, enforcing frequent hand washing, and limiting the sharing of supplies between campers.
