Betty Uyeda, MLS
Senior Collections Manager, History (Seaver Center for Western History Research)

Betty Uyeda holds a B.A. in History from California State University, Los Angeles and an M.L.S. from San Jose State University. She is on staff with the History Department's Seaver Center. 

Jorge Velez-Juarbe, Ph.D.
Associate Curator, Mammalogy (Marine Mammals)

Jorge is a paleontologist and mammalogist who studies the evolution and diversification of marine mammals. As Curator of Marine Mammals, he works with NHM's mammalogy and vertebrate paleontology collections.

Jann Vendetti, Ph.D.
Twila Bratcher Chair in Malacological Research and Associate Curator, Malacology, and Associate Director, Urban Nature Research Center

Jann Vendetti is NHM’s Twila Bratcher Chair in Malacological Research, and a founding member of the Urban Nature Research Center.

Jenessa Wall
DigIn Specialist, Marine Biodiversity Center

Jenessa manages the specimen and data curation for the Marine Biodiversity Center collection.

Adam Wall
Collections Manager, Crustacea

Adam’s research focuses on developing DNA barcoding and environmental DNA (eDNA) techniques with the goal of revolutionizing how marine biodiversity is studied, as well as studying crustacean systematics and isopod phylogeny. He is responsible for overseeing the curation, maintenance, loans, and visitors related to the world's fourth largest collection of Crustacea.

Maureen Walsh
Collections Manager, Dinosaur Institute

As Collections Manager, Maureen Walsh draws from over 20 years of museum curation, fossil preparation, Cultural Resource Management, and international outreach experience.

Xiaoming Wang, Ph.D.
Curator, Vertebrate Paleontology

Xiaoming is a vertebrate paleontologist whose research is focused on the evolution of terrestrial mammals, especially carnivores.

Beth Werling, M.A.
Senior Collections Manager, History (Material Culture)

As Collections Manager for the History Department's Material Culture division, Beth has overall responsibility for the management of the department's wide range of three-dimensional artifacts.

Victoria Westover
Digitization Technician, Marine Biodiversity Center (DigIn)

Victoria is part of the digitization and communication team for DigIn, our NSF grant-funded project to digitize marine biodiversity collections.

Regina Wetzer, Ph.D.
Curator and Director, Marine Biodiversity Center

Dr. Wetzer's research focuses on crustacean systematics and isopod phylogeny, and she has a special fondness for sphaeromatid isopods.
