Where our researchers went in 2018

Researchers at the Natural History Museum travel the world to learn more about nature and history. Photo by Dean Pentcheff.

The Natural History Museum is an amazing place with vast collections holding untold secrets. You could stay within its walls for a lifetime and still have more to explore, but that doesn’t mean that’s what our many researchers do. They venture out into the field to dig up fossils, find new species, observe animals, and study this fascinating planet.

The map below shows some of the sites our researchers visited in 2018. The map markers show approximate locations only, so don’t try to visit these spots to meet our researchers. It won’t work. Oh, and don’t miss the pin on Antarctica.
