Hear about the journey of Assistant Curator of Ornithology, Dr. Allison Shultz, from being a kid who loved animals and visiting the zoo to becoming the curator of ornithology at NHMLAC. She will touch on some of the different ways researchers can use museum specimens, with a special focus on one of her areas of expertise - feather coloration. Dr. Shultz will discuss how birds see the world differently than we do, and what that means for studying the evolution of feather colors.
