Caroline Haymaker
Caroline received a B.S. in Biology from Old Dominion University in 2017 where she also conducted research on Indo-Pacific boulder coral sampled from American Samoa. After a coral acclimatization internship at the University of Western Australia, she completed her M.S. degree in Biological Sciences at Florida Atlantic University, Harbor Branch as of Spring 2022. For her master's thesis, Caroline worked in the Coral Reef Health and Ecology Lab assessing stony coral recruitment patterns in southeast Florida and developing new eDNA markers for target coral species. She has taken on the role of Associate Collections Manager at the Marine Biodiversity Center to curate collection materials and aid in major initiatives such as DigIn and DISCO.
