Join our Associate Curator of Malacology, Dr. Jann Vendetti, as we learn about some of the fascinating friends that live in our backyards: snails and slugs! In this educator workshop, we’ll get the chance to hear all about the current research being done on L.A.’s gastropods through the SLIME Community Science project, explore the impressive specimens in our museum collections, and even get up close and personal with the slimy stars of our workshop.

SLIME

Snails and slugs Living in Metropolitan Environments (SLIME) is a community science project that aims to catalogue the biodiversity of terrestrial gastropods (land snails and slugs) in Los Angeles County and throughout Southern California.
