On April 16, join us as we investigate the world of mammals! Youth ages 8-18 are invited to participate in hands-on STEM workshops with real Museum biologists (advanced registration required). Guests of all ages can enjoy a museum scavenger hunt and fun drop-in activities in our STEMinist Lounge.
- STEMinist Lounge: Stop by the STEMinist Lounge to meet museum scientists and see specimens from behind the scenes; learn about local opportunities for youth and girls who want to work with mammals and other animals; pick up a museum scavenger hunt, visit our photo booth, and more! Open to all Museum guests; no advanced registration required.
- Hands-on STEM Workshop: What can we learn about animals by studying their skeletons? Youth ages 8-18 are invited to join hands-on workshops with Museum educators and biologists from NHM’s Research & Collections team! Participants will work with real specimens from our Mammalogy collections— to learn how Museum scientists observe, take measurements and make discoveries about how these species live and how they adapt and evolve over time! Capacity is limited; advanced registration is required.
