Eat, drink, and be scary!

During this evening event just for educators, you'll explore the scientific inspiration for classic movie monsters in our newest exhibition, Natural History of Horror, enter to win exhibition-themed raffle prizes for your classroom from our Egyptology Education Collections, and learn the myths and facts about urban bats from our Community Science Manager, Miguel Ordeñana.

The evening includes access to this new exhibition and other museum galleries, educator discounts at the Museum Store, rare museum collection displays, hands-on craft stations, a special lecture, and a raffle. Drinks will be available for purchase and complimentary light snacks will be available while supplies last. Free parking will be provided in NHM's Car Park.

SCHEDULE OF EVENTS

5 pm | Mingle and Explore!
Guests can explore Natural History of Horror and other classic NHM exhibitions, see rare bats from the collection, participate in themed craft stations and activities, enjoy light food and refreshments, and receive discounts in the Museum Store.

6:30 pm | Urban Bats: A Conversation with Miguel Ordeñana
Will bats be the unexpected ambassadors connecting urban communities and classrooms to nature? Learn all about the discoveries being made in this project with our Community Science Manager, Miguel Ordeñana.

7:15 pm | Raffle*
Enter to win resources from our Egyptology Education Collections and transportation for your students for an upcoming field trip!

PARKING & CHECK-IN

Free parking will be available in the NHM Car Park, located on the corner of Bill Roberson Ln. and Exposition Blvd. We are also conveniently located off the Metro Expo Line at the Expo/Vermont or Expo/USC stations. Please check-in with NHM staff between 5 - 6:30 PM at either the North or South Entrance to receive free entry and your raffle ticket.

BRING YOUR COLLEAGUES!

You do not have to pre-register to attend this evening event. Any educators who join us will receive free parking in our Car Park and can pick up their free entry at one of the two check-in entrances.
