Join us for a reflective, educational morning in the Nature Gardens as we explore how you and your students can “plant seeds” (both literally and figuratively)! You’ll hear from our Natural History Museum Nature Gardens team on how we plant and tend the 3.5 acres of land that used to be our parking lot and learn practical & pedagogical tools for teaching in the outdoor classroom with Descanso Gardens staff, emphasizing applications of Social-Emotional Learning (SEL) in nature with students of all ages. You’ll even leave with some of your own seeds to plant!

This program is presented with support from GrowingGreat Veggies & Fruits, a national STEM education program sponsored by Del Monte.
