Meet the Scientist: Life on Mars
Hear about how our Curator of Mineral Sciences, Dr. Aaron Celestian, is looking for life on other planets and moons - and why he thinks life could be there! We'll learn about how scientists use all the strange life we see on Earth (such as halophiles, or bacteria, that live in super salty water) as a starting point for looking for life in the solar system. Dr. Celestian will share how he is investigating these minerals on Earth and beyond, and how the minerals help tiny creatures persist for possibly hundreds of millions of years.
