Emma Perez

Digitization Technician, Marine Biodiversity Center (DigIn)

Emma Perez is a Digitization Technician with the NSF-funded DigIn project. She previously contributed to the project as a work study student while attending the University of Southern California, where she studied Public Relations and Cultural Anthropology. Now graduated, she is applying her skills and insights in guiding marine specimen digitization efforts, supporting specimen curation and training incoming work study students. Emma is particularly interested in collections accessibility and community engagement and looks forward to advancing the DigIn Project’s efforts to make marine biodiversity data more widely available.
