Digitization Technician, Marine Biodiversity Center (DigIn)

Victoria joined the Marine Biodiversity Center in 2018 as a Technical Lab Assistant while she was an undergraduate at the University of Southern California. Victoria graduated in May with degrees in Environmental Public Policy and Journalism and now oversees the lab’s digitization process from jar to database as the DigIn Digitization Specialist.

Victoria grew up competing in annual deep-sea fishing tournaments in the Sea of Cortez which fostered her interest in wanting to help better understand and protect the marine environment. She was a Teaching Assistant for USC’s Nautical Science program and in her free time enjoys exploring LA’s natural wonders.
