Junior Naturalist

This week, campers will put on their naturalist hats and discover how scientists study nature in Los Angeles! With microscopes, magnifying glasses, binoculars, and more, campers will peek in and investigate the wildlife hiding and thriving in the city around them. Join us as we complete fun nature-themed projects, meet real naturalists, and explore the Museum’s expansive Nature Gardens and Nature Lab!

Who: Children entering grades K–5
Where: In person, at the Natural History Museum
When: Monday–Friday, July 7 11, 2025 | 9 am–3 pm 

Drop-off begins at 8:30 am; Extended Care available from 3–5 pm daily.

Select the appropriate group based on the grade your camper will enter in Fall 2025:

Grade K

Grades 1–2

Grades 3–5


Please note, our ticketing system will only allow you to register one participant, for one camp week per transaction. To register multiple participants or register for multiple weeks, you will need to complete a separate transaction for each. We apologize for any inconvenience! Cancellations made 2 weeks prior to camp start date will receive a 100% refund. No refund will be given for cancellations made after this period. Please email info@nhm.org with any questions or for help with registering.
