Explore the world of bugs! Join Assistant Collections Manager of Entomology, Lisa Gonzalez, as we learn how bugs can be the bridge to nature in an urban environment. Lisa will share her current work with the BIOSCAN project, how schools can get involved, best practices when working with bugs, and some unconventional tools entomologists employ when collecting specimens. Along the way, Lisa will take you behind-the-scenes into the Museum’s Entomology collections where you’ll get a glimpse of research in action. We’ll finish off with some hands-on bug catching in our Nature Gardens with the guidance of our entomology expert!

We aim to make NHM an exciting, educational, and enjoyable experience for everyone. If you have any questions about this event and the services we offer, contact our Call Center at 213.763.3466 or info@nhm.org. We ask that any requests for special accommodations be made at least 48 hours in advance.
