Free Hours and Admission
There are a lot of ways to see the Museum for free.
As your Natural History Museum of Los Angeles County we celebrate the diversity of our audiences and are committed to doing so with equity, accessibility, and inclusion in mind. We aim to serve our community and offer a variety of programs to see the Museum for free.
Free Museum Admission Daily For:
- NHMLAC Members
- LA County Residents M-F from 3-5 pm
- California PreK–12 teachers with ID
- California PreK–12 school staff with ID
- Active or retired United States military with ID
- CA EBT cardholders with ID
- ADA caregivers actively working by accompanying a guest
- USC Students and Faculty with ID
- Children 2 and under
Please note that parking is not included with Museum Admission and additional tickets must be purchased to see special exhibitions, Butterfly and Spider Pavilion, 3D Theater, and other special ticketed experiences.
Free Museum Admission tickets are available at any museum ticketing desk by showing your teacher ID, military ID, USC ID or EBT card when you arrive.
Free Hours for L.A. County Residents
L.A. County residents receive free Museum Admission 3-5 pm Monday through Friday.
Additional tickets must be purchased to see special exhibitions, Butterfly and Spider Pavilion, 3D Theater, and other special ticketed experiences.
Free L.A. County Resident tickets are available from 3-5pm Monday through Friday at any museum ticketing desk.
